LPPKN infertility treatment Part 3
the following appointment, on 20/11/09 (21 day period time) i did papsmear n the nurse took my blood again. it wasn't hurt me only i felt uncomfortable n embarrased.
A Pap smear is a simple, quick, and relatively painless screening test. Its specificity - which means its ability to avoid classifying a normal smear as abnormal (a "false positive" result) - while very good, is not perfect. The sensitivity of a Pap smear - which means its ability to detect every single abnormality -- while good, is also not perfect, and some "false negative" results (in which abnormalities are present but not detected by the test) will occur. Thus, a few women develop cervical cancer despite having regular Pap screening.
A Pap smear (also known as the Pap test) is a medical procedure in which a sample of cells from a woman's cervix (the end of the uterus that extends into the vagina) is collected and spread (smeared) on a microscope slide. The cells are examined under a microscope in order to look for pre-malignant (before-cancer) or malignant (cancer) changes.

LPPKN infertility treatment Part 2
i haven't updated this blog for long time... that because, i was quite busy n lazy... according to my treatment at LPPKN, on 10/11/09 (11th day from period time) i did HSG at X-Ray center in JB, the cost was RM250.00. i took 4 tablet of pain killer so it hadn't been hurt me. i still haven't known the result, i have to wait for the next appinment.
hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is an X-ray of the uterus and fallopian tubes which allows visualization of the inside of the uterus and tubes. The picture will reveal any abnormalities of the uterus as well as tubal problems such as blockage and dilation (hydrosalpinx). If sterilization reversal is planned, the point at which the tubes are blocked can be seen. This helps to plan the reconstructive procedure

treatment at LPPKN
i started fertility treatment at LPPKN on 3/11/09. after briefing about the treatment, we agreed and registered for the treatment, the nurse asked my husband to give some of his sperm. they placed us in a room, and after a few minutes we went out with the sperm.. the nurse laughed at us because it was the most quickly patient that she ever handled. the sperm was analyzed and the result was no problem. so, they took my blood... after this, only i will be attanding to the clinic. so, the next treatment will be updated....
